Card Chenrezig 1000-Arm

Chenrezig, or Avalokiteshvara in Sanskrit, is the famous Buddha of Compassion. It is said that, once, he was overcome by such intense compassion for the entirety of cyclic existence that he purified the obscurations of all beings and everyone attained enlightenment. The three realms immediately refilled. Again he generated tremendous compassion. Again the realms were refilled. A third time he was overcome by compassion and eliminated all suffering, yet it was reestablished. The Buddha Amitabha then gave him 1000 arms and eyes to keep watch on all sentient beings and to give them whatever they need.
