Mandala Offering (CD 208)

Mandala offering is the third part of the 500,000 accumulations of ngondro and is practiced in particular to help create the immense amount of merit required to progress along the path. Patrul Rinpoche has said, "It is impossible to attain the twofold purity of Buddhahood or to realize fully the truth of emptiness without completing the two accumulations of merit and wisdom." In order to gain wisdom, we must have accumulated sufficient merit. In this practice, by offering both imagined and real offerings, it is said that one will perfect the primordial wisdom of all the buddhas of the three times.
