Peaceful Manjushri Practice (CD223)

$10.00

The purpose of Dharma practice is to purify the mind, to clear away all temporary stains of the afflictive emotions. The source of these afflictive emotions is a fundamental confusion about the nature of reality. Manjushri practice is then essential, because his basic function is to clear away confusion and bring forth wisdom. Manjushri is the embodiment of enlightened awareness, or primordial wisdom. His root mantra, OM WAM GI SHWARI MUM is highly revered as one of the quickest methods to bring about transcendent awareness. Manjushri is well-loved by Tibetan Buddhist practitioners across time periods and cultures.

This is a recording of the text called "The Wisdom of Light," a translation by Khenchen Konchog Gyaltshen Rinpoche that is available in the "Sadhana" section of the Webstore. The sadhana was written by Drikung Bhande Dharmaradza, the second Chungsang Rinpoche, and a root teacher for Gartrul Konchok Tenzin Chokyi Nima, one of the previous incarnations of Garchen Rinpoche.

A recording of Lama Thubten Nima at the Garchen Institute in 2007. One disk.
