Chenrezig Drupchen Practice - Garchen Monastery (CD203)

$25.00

At Garchen Buddhist Institute, we conduct a yearly drupchen of the practice and mantra of Chenrezig (OM MANI PADME HUNG HRI). By continuously chanting the mantra 24 hours a day for many days at a time, practitioners acquire a vast amount of merit that is then dedicated toward the enlightenment of all beings. Chenrezig is renowned as the embodiment of the compassion of all the Buddhas and is known by many different names, including Avalokiteshvara in India, Kuan-yin in China, and Kannon in Japan. It is said that all the teachings of the Buddha are contained in Chenrezig's mantra, and this and all other mantras are said to be a sound manifestation arising from emptiness. The mantra of Chenrezig, who is himself instilled with the blessings and compassion of all the buddhas and bodhisattvas, carries with it the power of his mind. Due to this, the mantra itself is endowed with the ability to purify our mind's obscurations.

By the Garchen Monestary. 3 disks.
